Kent History Showcase – Journeys (Free Entry)

Discover fascinating objects and stories on a Journeys theme… from the Dover Bronze Age boat, to medieval pilgrims and stormy channel crossings. With popular talks for adults and fun, hands-on activities for children, including the opportunity to create a giant collage, write with a quill pen and make exotic medieval animals!

Including the real and replica Dover Bronze Age boats, the Maison Dieu’s worldwide links, Kent shipwrecks, medieval pilgrims, famous authors, tales from Canterbury Cathedral, WW1 soldiers stories, medieval music, vintage vehicles, Dover’s playful hooden horse Dobbin… and much, much more!

The event includes a popular short talks programme in the community cinema and the opportunity to visit nearby historic sites.

Free entry, suitable for all ages.
